The evening was picture perfect. The sky was crystal clear, inside our cabin the fire was glowing beautifully inside the fireplace, my not so good attempt to make a romantic dinner was on the stove untouched and Tim and I was about to share in our first New Years Eve kiss. I couldn't ask for anything better. Reflecting over the last couple of months I would have never thought that I would be sitting with a wonderful man sharing in such a romantic situation.

I decided to surprise Tim with rented a cabin in the Poconos. I knew I couldn't focus on both Hunter and Tim at the same time during New Years Eve so I decided to focus on Tim, my boyfriend. I dared not ask Hunter if he wanted to spend New Years Eve together. We had lunch a few days prior but neither one of us brought up our plans. But this way turned out better.

“You know that there is a old wise tail that whoever you spend New Years Eve with is who you will think about the most through out the year.” I said to Tim a few minutes before the struck of mid-night.

“Good cause I want to be on your mind all year long.” Tim replied smiling.

Smiling as the clock on the wall rang twelve times informing us that it was mid-night. Leaning into each other, eyes locked and lips only inches away from each other, “Happy New Year Love” Tim whispered. Before I could respond Tim's lips met mine and we shared a passionate kiss.

The rest of the night we enjoyed each other mentally, physically and emotionally. The following morning I went to my bag to get my phone. I wanted to send out Happy New Year text to my friends. There was several text messages but one email.

From: Hunter Smith

Subject: Happy New Year

Hi Beautiful,

It's one minute before mid-night and I wanted to be the first one to wish you a happy and wonderful new year. I can't wait to spend this year with you. Wish I could kiss you tonight.

Surprised by the email, I checked the time that it was sent to my phone and sure enough it came at 11:58pm.

Shaking my head, Hunter has an innate way to stay on my mind and in my heart.
