High Glitz Lounge (Beauty's Ink) -- revision

Previously on Thoughts of a Mistress

I decided on what business I wanted to start. (Viva Las Vegas). Hell I knew in this new phrase that I would learn new things about myself, but I didn't know how much (Genesis)

Standing in front of my mirror in my attorney's bathroom I looked at myself in the eyes. The woman that was staring back at me was one that I didn't recognized but I liked the way she looked, walked, talked, and presented herself. I was falling in love with this woman. She was different from the magazine advertising agent. She had a permanent smile on her face, her eyes was sparkled, her skinned glowed and she had more swag in her step. The extra pounds that hung around my mid section was slimmer, my round face still held its structure but my neck and shoulders are trim. Before my Vegas trip I decided to remove my extensions and wear my hair in a crop sexy bob.
I haven't worn my natural hair in years. The woman staring back at me was a new business owner. I had officially signed papers for me to start my publishing company, High Glitz Lounge. Taking a deep breath I finished washing my hands and went back to my attorney's office. Patrica Katz, and I went to college together. We stayed in contact throughout the years via email. When she decided to move to the east coast we continue to develop our friendship. Her law practice was set up in Philadelphia. When I decided to start my business I called Patrica to ask for legal help. She was more then happy to offer her services for a reduce rate.

“So are you ready for this crazy journey?” Patrica asked when I walked into her office. “It's not going to be easy at all but it does have its good points.”

“I am. I know what type of books that I want to publish. I just have to find the love stories to write about.” I said.

“Good luck Vic, I know that you can make this a success. I will contact you when the trademark papers come in.”

We hugged and said our good-bye.

As I was walking inside the train station my phone began to vibrate. Looking at the caller ID it was Maya

“Hey boo” I said answering the phone.

“Hey Vic, how are you?”

“I'm good. Just left my attorney's office. It's official I can legally run a business.” Looking up at the train schedule grid I realized that I had 20 minutes before my train arrived.

“Congrats. Whatever you need just let me know.” Maya offered

“How about hooking my hair up for the book cover?” I said laughing. Maya was a fantastic and very dedicated hair stylist. She's been developing her craft and networking to work on photo shoots, and movie set. This past September she was one of the hairstylist at Fashion Week. Since then her schedule has been booked solid.

“I do your hair anyway. What the hell are you talking about!!” We talked for the next 15 minutes. Maya told me about her quest to find an investment banker boyfriend. “I'm done with these hood guys. Even though they are my guilty pleasure I always get my heart broken.” Maya haven't done much dating over the last couple of years. Usually she goes to different bar's down by Wall Street to meet the men. I went with her once, the men fall at her feet. Being 6'1 naturally and 6'4 with heels Maya oozes confidence.

Two and a half hours later I arrived at home. Over the last couple of weeks my life have changed so dramatically. From being fired to having the desire and will to start my own publishing company. To dating Hunter and losing weight. Even my room colored changed. There was little butterflies in my stomach because this was unknown territory. I walked into the bathroom and looked at the woman in the mirror. Yes, I was falling in love with this woman. I didn't know everything about her but I couldn't wait to learn more her.

*** Do to trademark law's I had to change my publishing company name to High Glitz Lounge***
